“ This place was 15/10 and I highly recommend. The feel in the bar area was exciting and then in the back with the dining area was so cool. The food though was absolutely incredible. I tried the Chef’s special because they said it was a food adventure and I can definitely say that it was quite an amazing adventure. If you can let the chef pick your food and if you’re open to try different flavors I’d for sure do it! ”
“ Exceptional food, polite attentive staff, beautiful location. Terrific for a night out. ”
“ Revisiting after a year. Sanctuary of Jerez in the City of Brotherly Love. Closing at 9pm kitchen close at 830pm. Thank you for eggplant. Branzino became smaller chicpeas delicioso. Understandable tapas supposed to be small portion, and thank you for maintaining prices over a year. Croquetas crispy cover, jamon iberico garnished with almonds, pan drizzled olive oil all nice and reliable. Gambas the best this time. Next time for postre. ------- Perfect spot to visit after watching Fox's Gordon Ramsey's Roadtrip this week whereas traveling from Ronda to Jerez. Wow. Sherry, yes, sherry... imperfection turned perfection... Nice selection here. Was most appropriately served at the bar to sample full range from soft to dry.. and to sweet. Food also nice Mixto queso & chorizo/ Jamon. Enjoyed home made bread. Olives tasty. Patatas Bravas. Branzino w/ garlic sumptuous. Pork belly with coconut, mustard tingy & chickpeas in cady iron out of bound! Bartenders knowledgeable and kind. Muchos Gracias Tigre. Salud, Dinero, amor, y tiempo Para gozarlos. ”
“ WOW! What an incredible dining experience. We went with the Chef’s Table and it was worth every penny. The knowledge that chef Peabody shared about how each dish was prepared was informative, and made each plate taste that much more delicious. It was great to have each sous chef present their own dish too. We also enjoyed learning about each wine and sherry we tasted. We will definitely be back! Thank you chef and team!! ”
“ What a great evening! We decided to go here for my birthday and I’m so happy we did. This was more than just a dinner it was a whole experience. We all (7) decided to do the 75 tasting menu and I cannot recommend that enough. It really was a great way to try new flavor combos and new foods. They also ended up giving us foods not even on the menu and everything was absolutely delicious. They even brought our desserts for the table at the end for my birthday, it was so kind! By the time we were done it was near 11, an hour after they close. We felt bad that we didn’t realize it was so late but at no point did we feel rushed. Excellent ambiance, excellent service, and most importantly EXCELLENT food. We all left satisfyingly stuffed. Would definitely love to return. ”
“ My son and I had an exceptional dinner here tonight. We opted for the chef's tasting menu so that we could try a little of several things. Everything was delicious. Favorites included the gazpacho with crab, lamb, and grilled eggplant. If you like desserts, the Basque style cheesecake was wonderful - light and just slightly sweet. While the food was a delight, the staff was even better. Our server, Janae, was knowledgeable about the menu and bar offerings and was happy to make recommendations. Everything she recommended was top notch. The hostess, Danielle, was friendly and attentive. If you enjoy tapas and you find yourself in the Center City area of Philadelphia, Oloroso is a must! ”
“ This place was phenomenal. The food was out of this world good. It's straight up Spanish food, with a ton of personality from the chef (who came out and said hi to us at the end of our meal). The branzino was some of the best I've ever had, and their bravas is an extremely elevated but humble take on the classic patatas bravas my wife and I frequently eat in her home country of Spain. The chef is passionate about his food, and you can see that both in the way he speaks about it, and the actual food itself. The space is gorgeous, and well absolutely return for the chef tasting, where youre seated in front of the kitchen and the chef hand picks food to give you. The servers were extremely nice and knowledgeable, the only complaint there is that we had several different ones so it was hard to keep track. All in all, I could not recommend this place more. It is our new go-to spot for Spanish food in Philly. ”
“ Just yum and fun. 7 of us went for chef’s tasting. We had 21 dishes in total. The quality and quantity of food just went over board. Definitely recommend for big group for chefs tasting menu. You will love it! ”
